…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 1,2,3; John 5:25-47

“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just, because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me” John 5:30 (KJV)

Although Jesus’ time on earth is seen as short, the impact He made on the earth is still being seen and gaining momentum like never before. Scores of people all over the world are beginning to wake up to the fact that there is God because of the impact of His Son on earth. He came for a reason; He stuck to the plan and left a success. What was this plan? How did He achieve it? And what can we learn from Him?

God’s plan to rescue mankind was the main reason why He came to the earth; to save and replicate or duplicate Himself in many, thereby making them sons like Himself in the Kingdom. These ones too will teach and replicate sons in the Kingdom too. These He did to the full. All these would not have been possible if Jesus has not stuck to the plan as written of Him in the scriptures. He came to do God’s will (Hebrews 10:7). He located it and followed it through. He never did anything outside the plan of God for His coming to the earth. No wonder He could say, “I can of mine own self do nothing, … but the will of the Father which hath sent me” John 5:30 (KJV).

As the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2), it is wisdom to follow after His path and imitate Him just like Paul did. We must follow the plan of God for our lives. It is only in God’s plan for your life that you will truly be successful such that lives will be impacted and generations to come will be blessed by your obedience. Many are still being blessed by Abraham’s total obedience to God. He walked with God to the end. Same for apostle Paul, whose life became an example to many because he heeded the call and walked in God’s plan.

Many are struggling today because they do not know His plan for them. They do not know the purpose why they are here, yet, they will not seek to find out this plan to walk in it. Until you seek God for His purpose for your life you may remain the same way. But you will not remain the same way. Knowing God’s plan for your life and walking in it in full, like Jesus, never deviating from it will make you a success in life. I have a mentor who always says that he is walking in the centre of the centre of God’s plan for his life. He has impacted millions today and still impacting others.

My dear reader, God in His mercy and goodness has stretched forth His Hand towards you in the person of His Son, Jesus. Accept Him as Lord and Saviour, start learning about Him and follow His steps. Shortly, you will start hearing His voice and as you heed to it you start impacting people and changing your world for good just like He did, and still doing today.

Action Plan: Make it a duty, henceforth, to find out and know what His plan is for your life. Keep seeking until you find it.
