“… Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”. – 2 Chronicles 20:20 KJV.
Some years ago, the founder of a Ministry in Lagos was having challenges with his family feeding and he called on God for solution. When God answered him, he was asked to tell his wife to dish whatever comes to her mind from the cooking pot without looking inside. Interestingly anytime she dished soup from the pot, she brought out whatever was in her mind; fresh fish, chicken, snail, bush meat etc. This went on for days until curiosity got a better part of her and she decided to look inside and from that day, she never found anything inside the pot. This is similar to the prophecy of Elisha in 2 Kings 7:1 KJV. “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord ; Thus saith the Lord , Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria”.
Both cases above sounded ridiculous, but the word of God says in 1 Corinthians 1:27KJV
“ But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” So he does as he pleases. Whatever your situation, take note that God can do all things and ensure you believe him no matter how ridiculous it may sound. 2 Chronicles 20:20 KJV. “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”.
Prayer: Father give me the grace to believe both God and his prophets.
