Bible Reading: Psalm 86
“Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works” – Psalm 86:8(KJV)
Our God is great and mighty. He is the Almighty and the All Powerful God. He is the great and mighty God and there is none like unto him. He is comparable to none and remain eternally sure. His faithfulness abided forever. Whatever our God declares must surely come to pass. He creates the beginning from the end. He is the Alpha and Omega. God is the excellent magnificence, the perfection in beauty, He is the high and lofty, hence among the gods there is none like Him. No wonder the bible declare in Exodus 15:11(KJV), “Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders.” It is our God alone that doeth wondrous things because His path is full of wonders. Under the overwhelming glory of the greatness of the LORD God the Psalmist declared, “Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things” – Psalm 72:18(KJV). The mighty works of our God speak of His greatness. The bible declares that the earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof. He created all things calling them into existence from things that be not. ”……….even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” -Romans 4:7(KJV). To further illustrate on the greatness of God the Psalmist in Psalm 86:10(KJV) declares, “For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.”
Talking about the works of God the bible declares in Psalm 145:5(KJV), “I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works”. God’s works are marvelous and wonders to behold. There is no end to the marvel of the works of our God. “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts” – Psalm 145:4(KJV). God’s works are of infinite varieties and wonders which He crafted in wisdom. His works talks of His unsearchable and unfathomable wisdom. “O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches” – Psalm 104:24(KJV).
