Bible Reading: Isaiah 34:1-end
“The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name” – Exodus 15:3 (KJV).
Truly, our God is a man of war. Our God has an armoury of diverse and numerous war arsenals. God is a God of peace and at the same time a man of war. Our God does not shy away from battle because He is a mighty man of valour. The same God that is the King of glory is referred to as mighty in battle. Psalm 24:8(KJV) says: “Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” In battle He is The LORD of hosts. God leads His army to battle. One of His instruments is His sword that is bathed in heaven ready to strike on earth. “For my sword is bathed in heaven; behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment” – Isaiah 34:5 (KJV). Idumea as referred in this scripture represent the wicked and anti-God’s people. They are the enemy of God who continuously fight against the people of God. God is jealous over His own and He fights and defend His own from harm. The military arsenal and might of the entire world cannot intimidate God. When the LORD moves into battle, it is the entrance of a mighty warrior and He moves with swiftness to dislodge His enemies. One of the powerful instrument of war God uses is His sword that is bathed in heaven, which when it falls on any nation will result in calamity. We have an example of this when David was moved to conduct census in Israel against the instruction of God (2 Samuel 24:1-end). God sent pestilence and in a day seventy thousand men died. Our God is awesome and fearful in battle.
My dear reader, the God we serve is an awesome God that deserve our awe and deep respect. He judges in righteousness and is ready to take a nation to protect His own. Our God deserves our fear and respect. He is the mighty man in battle who cannot lose a battle. He is the shoulder we can lean on and be rest assured of our peace and comfort. He is very jealous over us and will protect us irrespective of the number against us. He is the mighty warrior that no power will want to dare. When our God, the mighty warrior, comes into the battle there is confused noise and garments are stained with the blood of the enemies. Isaiah 9:5 (KJV) the bible says that “For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire”
I am proud to introduce you to this great and mighty warrior who has never and can never lose a battle. He is ever ready to protect His own. I implore you to make Him your Lord and Saviour and you will never regret it. REMAIN BLESSED.
Prayer: Father I thank you for your sure protection over my life.
