Bible Reading: Psalm 103 & 104; 1 Corinthians 2
“Thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth” Psalm 104:30 (KJV).
The Spirit of God was here at the beginning of the earth. He, alongside the Word of God brought forth all that is in the earth today. When man was created, God had to breath His Spirit into man and he became a living soul.
God created man for a purpose. No matter what man does on the earth, only the purpose of God shall stand (Isaiah 14:27). But to know His purpose we need to be connected to His thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV) says: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” We are realms apart from God in thoughts!
But by His Spirit we now know His thoughts and His ways. Psalm 103:7 (KJV), “He made known His ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Without His Spirit upon Moses he wouldn’t have done the exploits he did. Whenever His Spirit comes upon and within you, you become reborn. So many things God had prepared for us, but only by His Spirit can we take them in. 1 Corinthians 2:10 (KJV), “But God hath revealed them to us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” His Spirit reveals deep things. Only His Spirit can reveal God’s plan to us.
God has blessed you with so many spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ (Epesians 1:3). You need His Spirit to access these blessings. Ask for His Spirit to revealed His plan and purpose for your career, relationship, family, ministry, job, etc, and let Him breath upon that area that you so desire change in your life. As He does, you begin to experience and see things the way God sees them. Remember, “No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit” 1 Corinthians 2:11 (NLT).
Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your Spirit in me. May Your Spirit continue to breath life afresh in my spirit to know Your ways and Your plan everyday.
