Bible Reading: Jeremiah 1-2; 2 Thessalonians 2
Memory verse: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I Sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
The above scriptural text is a proof that there is a seed of greatness in every man. God never creates a thing by accident. He has a plan and purpose for every thing. Every man was created for a purpose. Imagine a world where we all know the purpose of our existence and live consciously by it. Life would truly be different.
Prophet Jeremiah was told directly by God the reason and purpose for his coming to the earth in the memory verse of the day in Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV), “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I Sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Because he met God early he started life early. Life truly begins the day you discover your purpose here on earth.
John the Baptiste was also separated for a purpose and he walked in that purpose. Without John, Jesus would not have commenced his ministry. John was the forerunner and one who pointed Him out as the one who would take the sins of the world away. John fulfilled his mission just like Jeremiah and many others.
You can only get to know your purpose of existence by coming close to and calling on the creator, the one who made the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:) Without Him revealing this purpose, one would merely be existing rather than living. The day He reveals your purpose here on earth to you becomes the day you start living anew.
Many do not know or are yet to know the purpose of life. That is why we must love all men. Love is a passion and a commitment to see the best of God manifest in others. There is no better way to do this than sharing the gospel of Jesus to everyone around you. It is dangerous to assume people are living, many are merely existing because they are yet to know God’s purpose for their lives. God has a bigger plan for them than that will only come to pass if they come close to Him.
Prayer: Dear Father, we ask that for as many that call Your name reveal the purpose of their life to them today in Jesus name.
