Bible Reading: Ezekiel 11, 12, 13; James 1
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” – Matthew 7:15-16 (KJV)
The world is full of those who parade themselves about as ones sent by God with special message, and unfortunately, many have fallen into their deceits. They are lousy and are seriously gaining speed in the society. With their well-crafted, sweet tongue words many are been caught into their traps. They are not just coming up, they have always been around. Little wonder, God instructed Prophet Ezekiel to speak out against them because of their useless vision: “Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have spoken empty, false, and delusive words and have seen lies, therefore behold, I am against you, says the Lord God” – Ezekiel 13:8 (Amp)
The problem of false Prophets was around during the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ as well, the reason He warned His disciples. These false Prophets are so clever that they would never appear as false prophets rather put on the cloth of the sheep but their inward disposition is so ravaging like that of wolves. All through history, God usually raise voice against all forms of aberration in the society. You could make yourself watchdog of the Lord against these false prophets who are only interested in their belly and thus concoct all kinds of stories to lure people away.
Folks, watch out for these kinds of people and make sure you do not fall victim of these set of people neither should you make yourself one else you shall incur the wrath of God!
Prayer: Dear God, grant me discernment spirit not to fall into the trap of the false prophets who are numerous in our society.
