TOPIC: YOU ARE GOD’S MASTERPIECE
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” – Psalm 139:13-14 (KJV)
For your life to make any meaning you must be guided by God via His Word and the first thing God’s Word will do for you is that it will give you the right Identity because the foundation to a fruitful and successful life begins by appreciating who God has made you.To celebrate others at the expense of yourself or to treat yourself harshly than you would others are signs you don’t know who God has made you. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
King David, who wrote our text, wasn’t a perfect person. He was not even born into a noble family, but he was grateful for who God had made him. He understood that God didn’t make a mistake by creating him because he didn’t define himself either by his environment; what he had or didn’t have, rather he defined himself by the One who created him to be – God!
David thanked God and appreciated himself and you must do the same. He saw himself as God’s creation and exclaimed, “… What a creation!” You should be able to say that about yourself too. It will greatly affect your self-esteem and it will free you to be yourself because nobody is better than you. You’re amazing!
Rather than going around being sad and having a negative attitude, take some time today to celebrate God and to appreciate yourself for who God has made you. For example, if nobody appreciates you, appreciate yourself out.
When you start to thank God for WHO He has made you, everything will begin to fall into place in your life because you’re perfectly suited for God’s purpose and assignment for your life. Make the decision today to begin to appreciate God for who He has made you and walk in confidence.
PRAYER: Thank You Father for who You have made me, I am Your masterpiece recreated in Christ Jesus.
