“And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. – Matt 26:4
Subtilty was the first nature of Satan we saw in Genesis 3:1 “now the serpent was more subtil…”
Prov 7:10 “And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.” Seducer after the order of Jezebel and portiphar’s wife. “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted…” 2Cor 11:3.
“Today lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Heb.3:13
Satan, prostitutes, sin are not the only subtil elements. In today’s text even High priests, Chief Priests, elders; are subtil people and are assassins inspired by Satan whose agenda is to steal, kill and destroy. They come as lovers and friends interested in your pleasure. Today the devil is consulting to kill you. He hires friends, to lead you away from God to make you defenseless and vulnerable. They want to introduce you to hard drugs, alcohol, sex, cultism etc. Resist and flee from them as Joseph did from Portiphar’s wife and was saved and preserved.
May the Lord endow you with special wisdom today to not sell your soul to these subtil assassins in Jesus name.
