Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 13, 14, 15; John 7:1-27
“Then David said, none ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever” – 1 Chronicles 15:2 (KJV)
The assignment in the kingdom calls for diligent understanding of what God has called one to handle in the kingdom. No sooner had David prepared a place for the ark of God did he pitched for it a tent. David was blunt with the people who are saddled with the responsibility of carrying the ark of God except the Levites. Hear the way the Scripture puts it: “Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever” – 1 Chronicles 15:2 (KJV).
David did not lose sight of those who are meant to carry the ark of God and they are the Levites. As God has chosen the Levites, equally God has chosen many people in some capacities to carry out some assignment but they have not been able to decipher their point of duty. The question is, which work has God chosen you to carry out for Him in the kingdom? Have you been making yourself available for the task? Or you always give excuse for it? The Levites did not give up on the task of carrying the ark that God has given to them.
Folks, locate the ark that God asked you to carry in the kingdom and do it diligently without delay for delay may be expensive. Has God chosen you to carry the ark of prayer? Has He called you to carry the ark of hospitality? Has He chosen you to devote more time for evangelism? Has He chosen you into visitation ministry? Has He chosen you to sustain the ark of the media? Locate it now and now.
Prayer Point: Lord, open my eyes to the duty you have for me in the kingdom in Jesus Christ name.
