TOPIC: CHRIST NEVER CONDEMNS ANY
Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 3-5; John 8:1-20
Memory verse: “So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him cast a stone at her” John 8:7 (KJV)
The encounter Jesus had with the Pharisees over a woman caught in adultery leaves us a great lesson to learn from in our christian walk. The law of Moses is very clear as to anyone who commits the act of adultery. Yet, have you ever wondered how qualified the ones who executes this judgement are? Many of those who condemn people over some sinful acts are themselves guilty of sin themselves, just that they are yet to be discovered.
When Jesus asked the Pharisees and those who came with them to cast the first stone if they had not sinned before, the response was one of guilt causing all of them to walk away. Only Jesus remained. Meaning He is the only one who has the right to cast a stone at the woman. Rather He offered the woman mercy and said, “…Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.” He forgave the woman of her sins instead of condemning her as the world would have done.
Christ came to save the world from her sins. As many as have been saved must in turn go out to save others. That is why we have been called into the ministry of reconciliation, bringing as many as we can to God because Christ has paved the way. God allows every man to come the way they are to Him but no one is expected to remain the same way.
No matter the sin you may have committed in the past whether adultery, murder, theft, etc, Christ has forgiven you. Jesus repent of this sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and allow the Holy Spirit cleanse you of every effect of sin remaining you.
Prayer: Father, thank You for forgiveness of my sins and for mercy.
