…Spreading the gospel of Christ

WORD MEDITATION: 21/07/2020

Bible Reading: Psalm 29 & 30; Acts 23:1-17

“The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace” Psalms 29:11 (KJV)

There are so many things missing in the world that only God can give. Yet, the world tries on its own to get them. It is vain. Isaiah 48:22 (KJV) says, “There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.” We live in a wicked world that continually separates itself from God. Yet, it is not in man to successfully, on his own, direct his steps (Jeremiah 10:23).

Two different sets of people in the world even though all are created by God. Those who outrightly refuse or yet to come to God, and those who have accepted Him. For those who have accepted Him, He blesses them with peace. Jesus said, “My peace I give unto you” John 14:27 (KJV).

The Peace of God cannot be explained. Philippians 4:7 (KJV) says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” You can only experience this peace in Christ. His peace helps guard our hearts and mind. Paul manifested this peace even in the midst of persecution. His heart and mind stayed with Jesus Christ till the end. Some people’s heart would have been with God but their mind wouldn’t be comfortable with the trials and so, would have given up.

God still blesses His people with peace. But this peace is only found in Jesus Christ. Make that decision to come to Him or come closer to Him and you will experience this peace.

Prayer: Father, thank You for peace that is in Christ Jesus. May Your peace rest on all my brethren, families, friends, colleagues and others in Jesus name.
