“…….the chastisement for our peace was upon Him…” – Isaiah 53: 5
Jesus Christ was our peace offering, being the lamb without blemish. He died for us to have peace. He said “ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the word giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” He was chastised so we can enjoy peace, even perfect peace. God has laid the sins of us all upon Him as our propitiation (Rom.3:25). He brokered peaceful reconciliation between man and God. He is our Peace for He is The Prince of Peace. Redemption forbids us to live in fear and with a troubled heart. He is our defender who will always be by us. He came to bind up the brokenhearted, to give oil of joy to them that mourn. He is the consummate sacrifice for our peace. He demonstrated His ability to give us a settled heart when He rebuked the stormy sea “…, Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm”. Mark 4:39. Only Jesus can produce “a great calm”. Irrespective of what is happening around us “Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing causes them to stumble” – Ps. 119:165. God promise of all round peace is practicable in life for this is what redemption is set out to achieve in our life.
Prayer: I speak to every raging and stormy issue in your life to be calm. Those stormy issues and rage are now turned to testimonies for you. In Jesus Name.
