…Spreading the gospel of Christ

WORD MEDITATION: 22/06/2020

Bible Reading: Esther 6,7&8: Acts 6

“So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the King’s wrath pacified” Esther 7:10 (KJV).

Before writing the meditational commentary I want to pray for you that all your enemies shall go the same way like Haman. They shall all be hanged in the gallows they prepared for you. All your enemies shall be caught in the snare they set for you. These are what happens when our trust is on God to deliver us. When we are confronted by wicked enemies like Haman, our only place of help is in God. Most times we are confronted with such enemies in our offices. The enemy may be our direct boss or someone high who doesn’t like our boldness in Christ. Most times they convince the management on a policy with hidden evil intention, purposely to get at you. At top management meetings where you are not privileged to attend they take decision that will jeopardise your interest or position. We must learn to follow the example of Mordecai and Esther. From the very first day you enter an office live out your Christian virtue for they will speak for you in the day of trouble.

When we are steadfast and hold strongly to our God, His mighty hands will protect us, and His word becomes real and begin to manifest in our life and situation as clearly stated in Isaiah 41:10-11 (KJV) “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.”

Most times when believers come across persecution in their work place impatience drives them to seek human solution, and in most cases, compromise their faith. If we believe that our God has perfect knowledge of every situation we must learn that delay is not denial. God works perfectly based on His perfect knowledge. God gives room to our enemies to repent but when they fail to repent, the book of Isaiah properly paints the picture of God’s reaction. “The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar: he shall prevail against his enemies. I have long time held my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will Destroy and devour at once” Isaiah 42:13-14 (JKV). Our God is slow in anger but swift to bless. This is exactly what happened in the case of Mordecai, the Jews and Esther. We must learn to trust God completely in the battles of life.

As Christians our life battles have become more effective and potent with the operation of His name, His Blood and His Word. By the death and resurrection of Christ we now have these unbeatable and highly devastating weapons to confront our enemies. However, until you accept Christ into your life they are not available to you. It is pertinent therefore for you to come and urgently enlist in the army of Christ.

Prayer: Father teach me to completely trust you in any situation I find myself.
