Bible Reading: Job 11; Heb. 10:9-16
“Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” – Hebrews 10:9-10 (KJV).
Jesus said except you eat my body, and drink my blood, you will not have eternal life. We eat and drink the body and blood of Jesus Christ, by faith. When you believe and receive Him into your life as your Lord and Saviour. You have eaten and drank the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
We have been made perfect in God’s sight through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ once and for all. But we are being made holy, cleansed and set apart for His special use in our daily walk here. This daily walk calls for growth in as much as God is not done with us on this side of eternity.
We can experience this growth process by daily applying scriptures to all areas of our lives, through acceptance of His discipline and guidance which Christ provides, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Also by giving Christ the control of our desires and to determine our goals. With this in mind, therefore, pleasing God will be our focus.
Friends, what is the pursuit, focus of your life on daily basis? Is it to love God and please Him or to run tirelessly after mundane things not mindful of the instructions of the Lord? Check your heart now before it is too late! You are encouraged not to waste the sacrifice which Jesus Christ made for your deliverance from the clutch of the enemy-the devil.
Prayer Points: O God help me to know that I am not my own, I have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, to live now for God only.
