“Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us”. 2 Corinthians 1:10 KJV.
The story was told of a man in a village in Western Nigeria who was very promiscuous. He would sleep with anyone and anything. When he gained admission to a University, the villagers were relieved but anytime he came home on vacation, parents would warn their wards never to go out because if the man should lay his hands on them, he would have canal knowledge of them.
But then, he met with Jesus and became born again and the villagers found out that truly he had changed. Parents gradually felt at peace with him and started releasing their children to learn about God that saved the man.
Jesus delivered the man from the spirit of promiscuity, saved him from death and forgave him all his sins. That same Jesus is still saving people and delivering them from all forms of death. He delivered in the past, saving sinners like Saul of Tarsus and delivered the Hebrew Daniel from the mouth of Lion ( Dan 6:19-22) He is still delivering today. Hence 2 Corinthians 1:10 KJV says “Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us ;”
He is still saving a lot of his children from all sorts of traps of the enemy. That’s why the bible says .. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…” ( Isa 54:17KJV) . Whatever the weapons formed against you, the Lord Jesus is always there to deliver you. But you need to live a life of holiness to continuously enjoy his deliverance. God will deliver you from all the enemies of your destiny in Jesus name.
Prayer: Father, deliver me and my household from all forms of evil in Jesus name.
