Bible Reading: Habakkuk 1; 2; 3, Revelation 15.
Memory Verse: “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Habakkuk 2:2. (KJV).
Yesterday, you were advised to write down whatever God reveals to you. Today, you are also enjoined to write down your vision. Whatever vision you have; spiritual or physical, please document it as it has the potential of motivating and leading you on the path to go. The bible says in Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV), “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Your vision will go beyond you. Whatever vision you have, it must meet the following criteria: Imaginable; show you the picture of what the future will look like. Feasible; it should be achievable and worthwhile though it may involve some challenges. Flexible: It should allow for individual initiative and alternative responses in light of changing conditions. Focused; clear enough to provide necessary guidance towards attainment. Desirable; it should impact the stakeholders positively when achieved. Communicable; can easily be explained to others.
There will be several people involved in making the vision a reality but God has given it to you so that you can guide and motivate others towards its achievement. That is why you are asked to write it down in a plain or readable form so that it will motivate the reader to join you in moving it forward. Now, Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV) further states, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” The vision is not for today. It is for the future. It will guide you and others on how to transition between today and future. It is for the good of the people around you and those that will come later. It may not make sense today but it will surely come to pass if you are diligent in pursuing it. There may be challenges on the way but you should know that if God has given you the vision, it must come to pass.
God says concerning his word in Isaiah 55:11 (KJV), “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” This applies to the vision he has given you. it will accomplish its purpose as long as you remain focused on him. What has God told you concerning your work, business, the church, and your environment among others? Please examine it and write it down if you have not. Then review it to see how you can make it a reality. It is given to you for a purpose. Don’t let it fail! Remember the parable of the talents. (Matthew 25:14-30)
Action point: Thank you for giving me a vision, please give me the grace to ensure its fulfillment in Jesus name.
