“Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we will arise and build” – Nehemiah 2: 20A(KJV)
Therefore we will arise and build. This is a statement of audacity. A strong declaration; an action that must be taken. It is a strongwilled statement. It is a statement showing an unequivocal position taken and ready to commence action irrespective of opposition and hostility. Nehemiah was saying; our dependence is on God who will prosper us, we shall, therefore, arise and commence building irrespective of any envisaged threat. We must learn to assert our position like Nehemiah did.We must learn to stand against the adversary in firmness and with audacity. What happens when you go for a crusade and the rain, at the point when the crusade is about to start, begins to fall? Having prayed against the rain, defile it and start off the crusade –audacity gives strength to your faith. Bold declaration of your confidence in God moves divinity to work for you.
The word “arise” is an action word which means to become operative. We will arise and build is stating their obvious intention and they do not intend to back out from it. It is a position of someone who is aware of the superiority of his strength as compared to his adversary. We must not only be seen as declaring but move into action. Take a position of being unstoppable. Take a position of no compromise in realizing your divine mission. If God sent you, then damn any consequence and face the assignment. Heaven will vindicate your action. When Daniel defiled the Kings order to fulfill divine obligation (praying three times with his windows open), heaven stood to fight for him. When David enquired from the LORD whether to pursue the Amalekites, he went after them and recovered all. Any man on divine assignment is backed by heaven to succeed. It was this faith that was backed with bold declaration and audacity that resulted in the unprecedented achievement of Nehemiah and his people of finishing the assignment in a record time. “So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the months of Elul, in fifty two days. And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God” – Nehemiah 6:15-16(KJV). A consummate faith in God, bold declaration of your faith and backed by action, will always result in outstanding fit.
Conclusively, it is important to recognize God in all your endeavours, make bold and positive declaration of your faith in God and move into action to assert your intention. This will produce a breath taking performance.
Prayer: Father endue me with the spirit of boldness and a sound mind.
