“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch”. – Mark 13:37
The end of the world is getting closer by the day. The bible says that the day and hour is not known to any man, or any angel or even our Lord Jesus Christ. Only God the father knows the exact time.
However that calls for a lot of carefulness and alertness on our part as it implies that since we do not know the hour, we need to be prepared always. That is why Jesus says in Mark 13:37 KJV “ And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
To make it easier for us, God has given us some signs that we should watch for to know that the time is near though we will not know the exact hour or day.
Some of those things as stated in Mark 13 include:
1. There shall be wars and rumors of wars.
2. Nations shall rise against nations,
3. Earthquakes will occur in many places.
4. There shall be famines and troubles.
5. There shall be persecutions of children of God because of our belief in Christ.
6. Gospel of Christ would be preached in all nations of the earth.
7. Family members shall betray each other leading to death.
8. Many believers will abandon their faith based on the evils around them but a few would remain committed.
9. The beginning of the end of this world will commence when there is the Abomination of Desolation.
(Mark 13:14).
All these events are happening which calls for vigilance on our part.
Prayer: Father, grant me the grace to follow you till the end and to finish well in Jesus name.
