“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV.
Jesus Christ has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 13:8). He has given us several promises which are available to us if we obey his commandments.
The bible says “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV
For us to avail ourselves of the promises of God, we need to ensure we fear God and obey his commandments. With that we have assurance that His promises will be fulfilled in our lives.
And how do you avail yourself of the promises of God? You need to identify the specific promises in the bible that relate to your need. Then pray with those promises asking for their fulfillment in your life. Personalize the promises in faith and be expectant. Apostle Paul emphasized the certainty of God’s promises when he stated that “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV).
God is interested in fulfilling those promises for our benefit as this will glorify Him. That’s why it is stated that ”the secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” (Deuteronomy 29:29 KJV). You need to avail yourself of these promises as they are expected to be prayed into your lives for your blessing.
Prayer: Father, please open my eyes to the various promises in your word and help me to avail them for my benefit in Jesus name.
