Bible Reading: Numbers 31-32; Mark 4:21-41
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10
God has purposed to give us unlimited blessings through the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ. Some believers seems to have a limited idea, as if God only wanted to bless us in small ways. They live as if there are limits to what is possible.
The Bible gives us a completely different perspective in our opening text. Jesus said, He came that we might have life and have it “abundantly.” This literally means having life that cannot be numbered ‘i.e unlimited’. This is a picture of blessings without limits!
God wants you to have unlimited blessings. The question is, what are your expectations? Have you placed limits on what God can do for you? Are you dominated by doubt or hindered by fear?
Fortunately, God’s Word gives us the specific answers. By hearing, thinking about the truth of the Word, and declare them in your life.“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.
For instance Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” – 1 John 3:8. This means you already have power over every form of spiritual opposition and the evil one. You can live in total victory.
If you also ask in faith, anything will be possible for you: “…for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20.
He has given you His power and authority, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19.
In your life, don’t place limits on God. Remember Jesus’ words in John 14:13-14: “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Believe God’s promises, and expect His unlimited blessings to flow into your life today. This is the heritage of every believer.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your unlimited blessing reserved for me. Open my heart to receive it in Jesus Name.
