Bible Reading: Jeremiah 14-16; 1 Timothy 5
Memory verse: “For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes” Jeremiah 16:17 (KJV)
God’s eyes are upon the ways of man. Your conduct speaks a lot about what is going on inside of you. No matter how fast a person does a thing he has already thought about it in his heart. As you think in your heart so you do (Proverbs 23:7).
To get our actions right we must concentrate on our insides by taking care of what we feed on. The more we get the right things into us, the more refined our behaviour. There was a time Judah was a model nation. But as they mixed with other nations they started imbibing and practicing all the evils God has always warned them against.
God is a God of justice. He will always judge no matter who is involved. Judgement came upon Judah because of his sinful behaviour. We too must learn from this; if He can bring judgement on His beloved Judah then no man is exempted. His judgement comes as a result of our actions or ways.
The bible tells us in Proverbs 3:6 (KJV), “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” When you put God first in everything you do, you will be a delight to Him. Always remember that He sees and watches all you do. And will judge every man in the end.
Prayer: Dear Father, I am committed to putting You first in everything I do, think or say. That is my heart’s desire and my will. I ask for grace to make this a reality in Jesus name.
