Bible Reading: Psalm 32, 3 John 1:1-8
“And hath raised us up together, and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” – Ephesians 2:6(KJV)
We shall be considering the last of the series of knowledge that will establish our dominion on earth. This is the knowledge of our placement in Christ. In our piece yesterday, we established our heavenly citizenship with its attendant rights and privileges. Today we shall be examining how our placement in Christ confers on us dominion power.
The above verse of scripture says that God hath quickened us together with Christ and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This establishes the fact that we have our spiritual abode in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:20-23(KJV) clearly and specifically gave a precise place where we are located in the heavenly places, “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the Church. Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.”
In reviewing the scriptures a lot of truth emerges:
(1) We are set at God’s right hand with Christ in the heavenly places.
(2) We occupy a very clear advantageous position of ‘Far above’ all principality, power, might and dominion.
(3) By virtue of our placement with Christ, we are positioned above which invariably means we have dominion over worldly powers.
(4) The church, of which all saints are part, is the body of him that filleth all in all. The right hand of God is the place of power. Remember, God is Almighty, which means that he owns all might. He is also the all-powerful God. God is the owner and custodian of power. The Psalmist said “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God” – Psalm 62:11(KJV).
Being set at God’s right hand means you are operating from a very high voltage power source. You have tremendous power at your disposal to confront any situation. Being the children of God we have an inestimable reserve of power at our disposal to contend with any force on earth. We are to operate with the mentality of being far above all forces, be they principalities or powers or might or dominion. Redemption gave you a place in Christ Jesus which empowers you to manifest as sons of God. Our placement in Christ at the right hand of God gives us access to the required power for such manifestation. By the act of redemption, you have changed position from the earth to far above at the right hand of God in Christ in heavenly places. Whatever that does not exist there is not permitted to be found in our life. Failure, stagnancy, retardation, sickness, accidents, cardiac arrest, high blood pressure, lost of memory, torments, poverty, harassment and intimidation etc. etc. do not exist and operate there, therefore is not permitted to be found in you. You must steadfastly resist and reject these because their operation is illegal and the illusion of the devil. They are not permitted in heaven where you are positioned so they are not permitted in your live. When you combine Ephesians 1:20-23 with Ephesians 2:6 it produces a clear picture of our power pack advantage position.
We are born to win. We are the children of light. We must continue to strive for revelation and illumination. If you are reading this and you are not sure you are born again, then you are not. You must come to terms with the truth. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Confess your sins and accept him today into your life as your Lord and Saviour. It is only then you can enjoy the tremendous advantage in Christ.
Prayer: Father let the consciousness of my far above advantage possess my entire being, in order for me to continue stay in the place of dominion.
