Bible Reading: Jeremiah 17-18; 1 Timothy 6
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” – Philippians 2:14-15
As children of God, we are the light of the world just like Jesus was the light to His world. Nowhere in scriptures do you ever find Jesus complaining and murmuring about the ‘darkness’ because He was the answer to darkness! He was the answer to sickness, lack, wants, shame, defeat and everything that darkness stood for because according to the scriptures in John 1:4, “IN HIM WAS LIFE, and THE LIFE was the LIGHT OF MEN.”
The life of God in Christ Jesus made Him the light of men. And the Bible says in 1 John 5:12, “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Also John 8:12 says, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Every single person that has received Jesus Christ as Lord and savior has this very same life of God in them and because we have the life of God in us, this life has made us the light or solution to our world. John 1:5 says, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” As a child of God, you are God’s solution to the world! What a difference this makes when your mind is awakened to this truth! This truth of scripture repositions you in life from being the needy to being the needed because the life of God in you is the solution to the problems of the world.
Prayer: Father, I receive the truth of Your Word to reposition me as the light of my world in Jesus Name.
