“And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitudes”. Mark 8:6(KJV).
Thanksgiving is the key that unlocks supernatural provision/supply. The human idea of thanksgiving is thanking God for what He has done. That is thanksgiving but it is not based on faith. Christ demonstrated the higher level of thanksgiving which is giving thanks to God for what you believe and know He will do before it is done. From the human angle it looks foolish to have five thousand men seated excluding the women and children and you are presenting seven loaves of bread to feed them. The human intelligence revolts against this but Christ demonstrated to us that we cannot intellectualize God. He knew and believed that with God all things are possible hence He gave thanks in anticipation of divine supply. Most times when we consider our depleted resources our heart seems to fail us. However, if we rise to that level of implicit trust in God’s ability and His exceeding promises to provide for us we become recipients of supernatural provision and supply. Philippians 4: 19(KJV) says “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. We must learn to trust God for our daily supply knowing that He has promised and He cannot lie. He said in 2 Corinthians 9:8(KJV) “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”. God’s word is very clear when it comes to divine provision as stated in Psalm 34:10(KJV) “The young lions do lack and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing”. 2Peter1:3(KJV) says “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”. My dear reader it pays to serve God and trust in His word.
Prayer: Father, grant me the grace to have quality thanksgiving as my lifestyle in my walk with you. In Jesus Name.
