Bible Reading: Numbers 35-36; Mark 5:22-43
“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22
“Blessing” is a gift, benefit, or an advantage designed to increase someone’s happiness and well-being. A blessing is given as well as spoken. The spoken blessing is a powerful way to release God’s goodness over our life and the lives of others.
Numbers 6:24-26 is a spoken blessing demonstrating God’s will for us: “The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
God’s ultimate blessing is the gift of His Son. Through faith in Christ’s completed work, we receive God’s forgiveness, righteousness, and His in-dwelling Holy Spirit, also gifting us with His grace to restore peace, protection, and prosperity in every area of our lives. The blessing and sacrifice of Jesus gives us access to God’s throne, affording us every advantage and benefit to live a rich life.
We need to receive God’s blessing with all our hearts. Speak it by faith and enjoy it’s manifestations. The blessing of the Lord makes truly rich.
Prayer: Thank You Father for Your blessings that provides everything needed for life and godliness.
