…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Word Meditation: 27/2/2016

“And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind”. – John 9:39(KJV).

When a man finds something of value which he lost, he will rejoice and sometimes call others to rejoice with him. On the other hand, when one loses something valuable, he becomes sorrowful. Since no reasonable man likes sorrow, why would anyone willfully throw away something of value?
That happens out of carelessness and many people are falling victim of this now. Those that have access to the word of God or even those that have accepted Jesus before but are now getting cold on their love for the Master are throwing away their Treasure willingly.

In John 9:39(KJV), the bible says “And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind”.

What is the context of this statement by our Lord? The Pharisees that could see witnessed the miracles performed by Jesus but still did not believe him, but a blind man who had not seen any of the previous miracles of The Lord but just received his sight by Jesus , gave his life and worshipped God! So a previously blind man accepted Jesus (received his spiritual sight) while those who had physical eyes rejected Jesus (lost their spiritual sight).

If you are reading this devotional and you are not sure of your salvation, I pray that you surrender your life to Him today and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour by asking Him to forgive you your sins, promise Him not to go back to those sins.  Thereafter ensure you read the bible regularly and attend any bible believing church in your area.Proverbs 28:13 KJV. says“…He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy”.

Our God is merciful and He is ready to give sight to all blind men and women. But our memory verse also means that we should be careful to remain in the race till the end if we are believers because of the various tempting issues in our environment. Matthew 24:12(KJV). Says” …And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”May your love for Christ never wax cold.

Prayer: Father, keep me till the end and let me end my race strong and well in Jesus name.
