Bible reading : Exodus 19, 20
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
The Law of the lord was written on the two tablet of stones. The first four dealt with our relationship with God, the remaining six had to do with our relationship with fellowman.
It is, therefore, important to put our relationship with God first, in seeking and in serving Him. Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” – Matthew 6:3 (KJV).
We are commanded according to the scriptures to seek first the kingdom, the advancement of the kingdom, making the advancement of the kingdom of God a top priority on earth. God has assured us that when we do seek him first, those things that men die for and so desire will just be added unto us. In 2 Chronicles 15: 12- 15, the people entered into a covenant to seek the lord with all their heart and God gave them rest round about. Both financial, family, business, career rest, all round rest just because they entered into a covenant to seek and serve God.
Serving God does not only pay, it pays the most. The Choice we make is what eventually makes us. Serving God is an open choice we make. Once the choice is made God will begin to decorate our lives and our future. Serving God and the course of His kingdom is the gateway into God’s payroll. Our needs cannot be met except we are actively in service.
Thus, every commandment of the scriptures is for our profiting, therefore, where your Obedience stops is where your profiting stops . Obedience is the authentic proof of our stewardship. You can’t claim to love God when you ignore His commandment. Obedience is the valid proof of our love for God, and this love is our launching path into our breakthrough in life.
Everyone is seeking for one thing or the other in life; what to eat, where to live, but Jesus is saying, “seek ye first the kingdom” and all these things people die for will be given to us effortlessly.
Make Jesus the reason for your living and His kingdom advancement your heart beat and you will live a stress free life in this life and the life to come.
