TOPIC: YOU HAVE A WEALTHY PLACE
Bible Reading: Jeremiah 23-24; 2 Timothy 2
“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.” – Psalms 66:12 (KJV)
Jesus has come to give you something better than what He gave the children of Israel in the Land of Canaan or ‘dream’ life that you ever wanted. As a child of God, you already have that life in you.
Jesus didn’t die just for our sins alone; praise God He did, but along with the forgiveness of sins, He has given us the good life. Hebrews 6:9 (KJV) says, “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak..” There are better things that accompany salvation. Healing, prosperity, abundance, protection, preservation, favour, and promotion are all things that accompany salvation from sins. Your wealthy place is all-inclusive and not exclusive of these things.
Moses told the children of Israel, “For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.” Deuteronomy 8:7-10 (KJV).
The reason some believers don’t enjoy this good life is that they are so dependent on their efforts, job, certificate, or even connection instead of God. It is God that has brought you into this land and as such you have to keep your eyes constantly on Him and expect good every day. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to work or do your business; it simply means to trust Him in all things.
When your eyes are not on God, men will ride over your head which is symbolic of always being bound by the systems of this world – living on your salary, coming behind on your bills, and constantly being broke and disgusted. When you learn to trust God daily, you will experience and enjoy your wealthy place.
God has brought you into a wealthy place, a place of abundance and a great supply of anything that you desire. Keep your eyes on Him and begin to receive today.
Prayer: Father, I step out in faith today. I am in my wealthy place in the mighty name of Jesus.
