Bible reading; Exodus 21 & 22
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” – Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
When we try to live life in our own power it only leads to a wilderness of complaining, moaning and groaning. However, as we allow God to have control supernatural results happen.
Until you have had the wilderness experience, it’s unlikely you will appreciate the promise land. God will sometimes lead us into the wildernesses of life to see how we will respond. Will we respond as the clay and be molded by the potter into a beautiful vessel? Or will we respond as unheated metal that when stretched we break?
Don’t complain and talk about all your problems. Two-thirds of what you fear does not exist, they are unreal. God will always make a way out. Life circumstances are sometimes hard to stomach like the bitter water of Marah, But when you trust in the Lord and call on Him , circumstances will not crush you. Turn to God in the wilderness and allow him to make the bitter waters sweet. Wilderness water is not always sweet. God’s promises do not always lead to sweets. He did not promise that life’s travels would always be sweet. God’s promise is to be with us.
The sweetness of Life depends on your source. When Moses cried out to God, God provided a way to make the waters sweet. One of His names is Jehovah Jireh; God our provider. In the wilderness of life God will make our stagnant waters sweet. But we must call upon Him.
God, all through Exodus, wanted to heal His people of their sins and diseases. He has always wanted the people to call on Him for their healing and provisions. Life is sweet when your are at Jesus’ feet. The one who can provide our every need.
Readers, God wants so much to reveal to us that He is the Lord who hears, The Lord Who provides. He hears and understands our cries of bitterness. Our living Lord wants to reveal Himself as Jehovah Rafa; the God who heals. The cross can turn your bitter waters of life into sweet waters of peace, provision, promise, and God’s supernatural presence in your life.
It doesn’t matter What wilderness times you are experiencing? God wants you to know that He will provide! Will you call on Him and worship Him in that wilderness? He will provide, heal and settle you.
Prayer: Lord, I trust in you for all my needs, give me the grace to wait patiently upon you.
