TOPIC: WHATEVER IS IN YOUR HEART WILL BE IN YOUR HAND SOMEDAY
Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 7,8,9; John 11:1-29 (KJV)
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
The heart of man is very precious to God. it is the part He looks at to give to man what he deserves in life. Jeremiah 17:11 (KJV), God says, “I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give to every man according to His ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. God sees the heart, He doesn’t look nor see as man does. No wonder He told Prophet Samuel prior to the anointing of David, “Look not on to his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart” 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV). God rejected Eliab because of the state of his heart.
What is the state of your heart? No matter your doings God sees the motives of your heart behind the doings and judges accordingly (1 Samuel 2:3). He sees the part no man sees. So, whatever you sow in your heart is what you will eventually reap. God will put that which you have desired in your heart in your hand. So, keep your heart with all diligence; always take heed of what you are dwelling on and planting in your heart.
King David desired from the heart to build God a house and He honoured him by allowing his Son, Solomon, to do it. But note what the bible says about David’s heart-felt desire to build the house of God in 1 Kings 8:18 (KJV), “… whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.” Anytime you have something noble and worthy of note to do in the Kingdom in your heart, you will do well in life like David.
Many don’t do well today because they have filled their hearts with wrong things. What you keep in your heart is your choice. David kept the dream of building God a house, while others have defiled themselves with the state of their heart. Jesus, who sees the heart of man, says, “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” Matthew 15:19 (KJV). But in the end, whatever you have in your heart will definitely be in your hand somedsy.
Let God have your heart. He says in Proverbs 23:26 (KJV), “My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” Hand your heart over to God today and He will direct your path and you will do well in life.
Prayer: Father, I receive grace from heaven today to completely hand over my heart to You.
