Persecution is one of the test that must come the way of every believer in Christ Jesus. It comes to check you out if that which you claim to believe is genuinely planted in you. Persecution, even before your response, shows you are on the right track.
Jesus Christ was persecuted. In fact He warns His disciples, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. [20] Remember the word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.” John 15:18,20 (KJV). His disciples also passed through persecutions.
What are you going through today at work, office, school, etc because of the name of Jesus? Remember, the aim of persecution is to test one’s resolve and belief in Christ and break it if possible so as to take the believer backward. But if you understand Satan’s operation as per persecution, you will give God praise like Paul and Silas did in the prison. Never you be ashamed of Jesus.
The beauty of it all is that for all who stay through to the end God delivers them for eternity.
