Topic: You Are A Citizen of Heaven
Bible Reading: Isaiah 19-21; Ephesians t
Memory verse: “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; ” Ephesians 2:19 (KJV)
The church of God is the only organisation today that gives people hope in this life on earth. It is the only place where you hear words consistent with who you really are. Even though you don’t see people change immediately, one thing is sure, if you are consistent in taking in the word of God change is bound to occur for all to see.
Reason why it takes a while for people to change is because they have been on the other side for too long. However, it is never too late to come to God. With time invested in listening to the word and fellowshipping with God’s people, so many with characters that were not acceptable socially have improved. God does His work in us from the inside cleansing us from our inner man till it begins to reflect outwards.
The aim is to become like Jesus who came from heaven to earth to make us heavenly citizens like Himself. He took our place here to give us a place in heaven. That’s why we now have the right to citizenship in heaven and ambassadors here on earth. Heaven is now our real home the moment we were translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light through our believing in him.
So always remember who you are and where you belong as Ephesians 2:19 (KJV) puts it, ” Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; “
Prayer: Father I thank You for making me a citizen of heaven through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
