And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightaway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which were borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they laid down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. – Mark 2:1-5
Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts.10:38). He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb.13:8). The man sick of palsy surrounded himself with the right friends, friends who believe same thing with him. Friends who care; good friends, faithful friends. Not back-sliders, not good whether friends who are but parasites and selfish. Watch people you surround yourself with, are they godly or worldly people? Jesus miracles are not tied to the four walls of the Church. Wherever two or three are gathered in his name, his presence should be expected to do miracles, in personal homes for naming ceremony, in street meetings, let’s come expecting. Never surrender because of the crowd. Press your faith through. Until you contact him never give up. Your miracle is on the way; let your faith be visible to the Lord.”When Jesus saw their faith he said… Son thy sins be forgiven thee.” Job’s friends were busy trying to locate their sick friend’s sins no wonder he couldn’t receive his miraculous early enough. Jesus saw this sick man’s sins and freely forgave him yet none of the four friends saw his sins, they were concerned with his healing rather than his faults.
Prayer: O God! Give me caring friends who will encourage and build up my faith in Jesus name. Make me a good friend to the brethren in Jesus name.
