Bible reading: Jeremiah 29-30, Titus 1
Memory verse: “In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,” Titus1:2 (KJV)
Whenever God utters a word, everything He created come together to make that word happen. He is the one behind everything created that is why everything listens to Him. If He tells you a thing, believe it or not forces go out immediately to bring His words to pass.
God cannot lie because He does not have the ability to. Everything He says come to pass because that is the nature of His words. Not a jot of His word will go unfulfilled (Matthew 5:18). His words are ordained to accomplish that for which it is sent.
Moreso, lieing is part of man’s sinful nature, not God’s. Colossians 3.9 (NKJV) says, “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, [10]and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.” It all came out of man’s submitting to the rule of the devil. God cannot lie because His nature is holy and truth. He cannot lie because He is not a man (Numbers 23:19) who had come under the influence of the evil one.
Finally, God cannot lie because He is faithful and true. He watches over His word to perform it. Lie was never a part of Him. In fact He detest lies. Proverbs 12:22 (NKJV) says, “Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.” The more one learns to be faithful and true to His word, he delights in such a person.
There are many promises God made in the bible. Be rest assured that they will come to pass, whether you believe them or not. But in your interest, please hold them tight and pray over them and they will come to pass in your life. His word is truth, but truth to you start the day you capture His words in your heart.
Dear Father, help to believe in your word and grow in faith in Jesus name.
