Bible Reading: Malachi 1- 4; Revelation 22.
Memory Verse: “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17 (KJV).
Every true child of God should engage in a Prayer for early return of the Lord Jesus and invitation of unbelievers to come to Christ and accept him as their Lord and Saviour in order to have a life of Joy and peace. These prayer and invitation are succinctly stated in the last chapter of the Bible in Revelation 22:17 (KJV), “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
The prayer for the second Coming of the Lord is to quickly bring an end to the tumult in the world and replace it with order and righteousness. This is quite clear in what was shown to John in Revelation 22:1-5 (KJV), “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. [3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: [4] And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. [5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
To be able to live in this environment after your journey on earth, you need to have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour as well as live the rest of your life on earth in righteousness. But if you are yet to have an enduring relationship with Jesus, the second invitation is for you. You are expected to come and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and take the water of life freely. Jesus said in John 7:38 (KJV), “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” You have this opportunity now to amend your ways and renew or start a fresh relationship with Christ particularly as the year 2024 ends today! You need to go into the new year as a new person ready for the second coming and praying to Jesus to “Come”. Tonight is crossover. It’s important that you wash yourself clean in the blood of Jesus, let Him forgive you all your sins while you forsake them going forward. Remember he that covers his sins shall not prosper but whosoever that confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy (Proverbs 28:13).
Action point: Go to Jesus Christ in prayer accept him as your Lord and Saviour. Then confess your sins and ask for his forgiveness while promising to forsake all those sins going forward.
