PROVERBS 13, 14, 15; 2 CORINTHIANS 5
“A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence” Proverbs 13:2 (KJV)
Everything you’ll ever need as a believer is in your words. Through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness. And these can be accessed using the right words. Our mouth is given to us to bless people and to change the circumstances of our life.
There are people who don’t know how to speak the right words; their words are filled with violence and as a believer that shouldn’t be seen in you. Your speech is the true measure of your maturity as a Christian. “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body” James 3:2 (KJV)
Words are vehicles that carry spirits; each time you speak the right words, the Holy Spirit ensures that things works out for your good. In the same way, when you speak negative words, it gives the devil access to operate in your life. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” Matthew 12:35 (KJV). As a Christian you have got good treasures within you by the reason of your divine nature in Christ. If your world or situation does not please you, or if you don’t like the way things are around you, you can change it! Infact, nobody but you can change it.
Your words have power, and the sooner you recognize that, the sooner you’ll pay attention to the words you say.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, guide me to always speak the right words.
