Topic: With God nothing is impossible
Bible Reading: 1 Kings 16-18; Luke 21:1-19.
Memory Verse: “And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.” 1 Kings 17:6 (KJV)
Ravens are birds that are opportunistic, greedy eaters , known to steal food from other animals, rather than sharing or acting generously. They are also known for neglectful parenting. This is the same bird that God sent to bring bread and flesh to Elijah not once but twice a day! 1 Kings 17:6 (KJV) says, “And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.” So a bird that is very selfish that often steals food from its kind is the one that brought meal for Elijah at the brook in Cherish! That shows the divine authority of God.
This same God was the one that commanded a burning fire not to touch three people that were thrown inside it. And the Bible says of the men that were thrown into the furnace of fire in Daniel 3:27 (KJV), “And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.”
Similarly, the Bible records that leperousy, a disease that had no cure at the time, disappeared on instructions of the Lord Jesus. The account is written in Luke 17:11-14 (KJV), “And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. [12] And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: [13] And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. [14] And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”
The same God has not changed and is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is able to do all things and can fix your problems no matter how difficult. All you need is to present your challenge to him and he will make a way for you. He says come to me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest! (Matthew 11:28). But you need to repent of all your sins and promise to live a life of obedience to his words before he can regard you as one of his own. So call on him this day and confess your sins, repent of them and make a resolution not to go back to those sins anymore but to live a life of righteousness in obedience to his directions in the Bible. So you need to study the Bible to know him more and and understand how he wants you to live going forward.
Action point:
Present your challenge to God and live a life of total surrender to him and see how he resolves it.
