Bible Reading: Psalm 85
“Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his step” – Psalm 85:13(KJV)
God’s way is the path of righteousness. God’s righteousness that goes before him is in His way. God’s way is the path of life. Talking about His way the bible said in Jeremiah 6: 16(KJV), “Thus saith the LORD, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein.” God has provided us with the only way we will go and find rest to our souls. The good way is the way to the old rugged cross where Jesus paid the price of sin to set us free from condemnation. We can only follow the way of Christ living in righteousness.
The way of Christ is the way of love for love cannot fail. Love motivated his sacrifice for sin (John 3:16). In John 14:6(KJV), “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto my father, but by me.” The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. You need to come to Christ and be save, and only then can you have access to God and is son. Walking with Jesus is a worthwhile experience, it ensures peace of mind, it produces confidence and boldness, it guarantees victories and enhances your living.
Most times people may be on the wrong path and assumed they are on the right. We have need for periodic examination of our ways to ensure that we are still on course. Righteousness is the test of our true position in Christ. Being obedient to divine instruction is the key to walking in the path of righteousness. Our way is set in Christ Jesus and to remain focus in his way, our lives must be anchored in his righteousness. “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies”. Psalm 25:10(KJV). God’s way is reserved for the meek, them that are teachable and humble. “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way”. – Psalm 25:9(KJV). God endowed us with His righteousness in Christ Jesus so that we can walk in his way. It is only through Christ we have access to God, all other religion are the imaginations of man’s mind and an inducement of Satan to confuse humanity. Jesus, the way, teaches righteous living and obedience to divine instructions. These can only come through bein meek and humble.
