Bible Reading: Isaiah 46:1-end
“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” – Isaiah 46:4(KJV).
Going through this line of scriptures I am overwhelmed and marvel at the depth of the love of God. Man gets easily tired and frustrated at the burden of others, but not so with our God. We have witnessed children who lived in their parent’s home and consider their parent as burden at their old age. Consequently, they make arrangement and move their parent to the old people’s home in order to be relieved of their burden. Reading through the lines of the above scriptures, I can see divine love in action. Some spouses have left their home because of the burden posed by their accident crippled or blinded spouse. God is not ashamed to call us His children, “having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will” – Ephesians 1:5(KJV). Christ did not only come to deliver us from sin, He also came as our burden bearer. He carried away our burden of sickness and disease. “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” ‘- Matthew 8:17(KJV). God’s love and care compelled Him to come and dwell among men in flesh fashioned after the order of His creature in order to suffer what we suffer so as to provide us a way of escape from His judgment “The soul that sinneth, it shall die…” – Ezekiel 18:20 (KJV).
God’s love and care for man is clearly stated all through the line of scriptures. To buttress God’s love Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 (KJV), “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” There is nothing that we ask from God that will intimidate Him. He is well able to provide for His own. The bible admonishes us to cast all our burden, not some, upon Him. There is no issue in our life that is too big for God to handle. Peter properly stated this in 1 Peter 5:7(KJV), “Casting all your care upon; for he careth for you” Beloved, God’s hands are wide open to receive you and take away the yoke of chain on your neck and the heavy burden on your shoulders. The decision is yours to make. If you call on him today from your heart, He is always available to carry you as he has promised in our scriptural verse of meditation today, “… I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” What a caring and loving God we serve. SHALOM!!
Prayer: Father I am ever grateful for your love and care towards me.
