Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 7-9, 2 Corinthians 11:1-15
Memory verse: “Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:” Ecclesiastes 8:12 (KJV)
The main reason why God sent Jesus to the earth was revealed to us by the Son Himself in John 3:16 (NKJV), “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” He “so loved” the world. And 1 Corinthians 13.4a (NKJV)says, “Love suffers long and is kind;” And love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Because of this love, Ecclesiastes 7:11 (KJV) tells us, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” The love of God for man makes Him not to count nor hold our sins against us. That is why the scriptures advised us to forgive others if we want God to forgive us our sins. But love is not a license to continue in evil. One day judgement will come on those who continue in evil. Verse 13 of the same chapter says, “But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.”
God created man for a purpose; even from the womb He has a set plan for every soul (Jeremiah 1:5). This plan is meant to bless humanity as a whole. Anyone not walking in this plan or haven’t discovered it yet means God had to keep reaching them through His Spirit till they come alive. He inputted so much potential in every man and desires to see these potential manifest before our time is done on earth.
Remember, God loves man and is patient toward man because He wants to see man fulfill the command He gave to Adam to dominate this world. He does not want any to perish, rather He wants all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:8). Hell was not meant for man but for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). So retrace your step if your life is not giving God glory. If you are yet to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour now is the time for sin has a set time. Tomorrow may be too late
Prayer: Father, I obtain mercy from Your throne today as I retrace my steps today for good in Jesus name.
