TOPIC: THE SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH
Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 13-16; John 14
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” — 2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
There is a Spirit that accompanies the Word of God which goes beyond the mere letters that we read on the pages of Scripture. God’s Word is not just information; it carries divine life, power, and ability. When God’s Word is received with faith, it imparts supernatural strength to accomplish what would otherwise be impossible.
In the book of Ezekiel, God said to the prophet, “Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee” Ezekiel 2:1 (KJV). Naturally, Ezekiel could have attempted to obey in his own strength, but the next verse reveals something remarkable: “And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet.” Ezekiel 2:2 (KJV). As God spoke, supernatural ability accompanied His Word. The Spirit entered Ezekiel and enabled him to do what God commanded.
The spirit of faith still operates today. As you continually expose yourself to God’s Word, the Spirit behind the Word works within you, transforming your thinking, renewing your mind, and empowering you to accomplish God’s purpose for your life. The Word of God does not merely tell you what to do; it provides the grace and ability to do it.
This is why it is vital to meditate on the Scriptures daily and speak God’s Word over your life. As faith rises in your heart, your thoughts, words, and actions begin to align with God’s truth rather than your circumstances. When that happens, the impossible becomes possible because you are operating under the influence of the spirit of faith.
Today, choose to believe what God has said concerning you. Receive His Word with confidence, and allow the Spirit behind the Word to transform you from the inside out. As you do, you will walk in victory, dominion, and divine purpose.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the power of Your Word and the spirit of faith that accompanies it. Help me to believe, speak, and act upon Your Word.
