Topic: Staggering through unbelief
Bible Reading: Psalm 116-118; Romans 4
Memory Verse: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;” Romans 4:20 (KJV)
Several times, people lose their opportunities through unbelief. Meanwhile, other Christians have enjoyed great breakthrough by their faith in God. A testimony was given of a woman who lost her womb in her early days but later married and both herself and her husband trusted God for a child! The woman’s pastor prayed for her and a few other women in her church and after a while all the other women became pregnant and delivered their babies but the woman without womb did not conceive. The Pastor then called her to find out what could have been responsible and in the process learnt the woman had no womb. He then asked the woman why she asked him to pray for her to conceive when she knew she had no womb. The woman replied that the Pastor taught them that with God nothing shall be impossible!
After that, the woman noticed that the Pastor was dodging her and so she decided to face God directly since she believed with Him nothing shall be impossible. And one night she dreamt that an angel came and wrapped an animal’s skin round her and a few months later she was pregnant and finally gave birth to twins!
So if you believe, nothing shall be impossible for you ( Luke 1:37 KJV) . Even if the men of God around you do not believe, as long as you do not stagger in your belief just like Abraham, God will answer you and you will have your breakthrough. Remember if you doubt in your heart, you will not receive your expectation. James 1:6-7 (KJV) says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” Are you trusting God for a breakthrough, ask Him in trust and believe that God will answer you. Abraham believed that inspite of his old age, God would fulfill His promise to him so, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;” ( Romans 4:20 KJV). And God fulfilled the promise and gave him a son through Sarah.
Action point: Call on God for what you want, believing him that he will answer you.
