TOPIC: GOD CANNOT FORGET YOU
Bible Reading: Isaiah 37–38; Philippians 3
“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” — Isaiah 49:15 (KJV)
Do you sometimes feel forgotten? Be reminded today that you are always loved and remembered by God, and nothing can ever make Him forget you. The enemy may try to make you feel abandoned or overlooked, but God cannot forget His children. He cannot forget you. Regardless of what may be happening around you, His love and attention towards you remain constant.
God uses the tender relationship between a mother and her nursing child to illustrate the depth of His love for us. He says, “Can a woman forget her sucking child… yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me” Isaiah 49:15–16 (KJV). A mother naturally desires to care for her baby; she does not need to be reminded to provide nourishment. In an even greater way, God is compassionate towards us and continually cares for us. A baby does nothing to earn a mother’s love or qualify for her care, and in the same way, we do not have to earn the Father’s love. His love towards us is unconditional and is rooted in His grace.
Even the deepest human love cannot compare with the everlasting love of God. He declares, “Yet will I not forget thee.” There is no possibility of God abandoning or forgetting you. You are continually before Him, and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the eternal proof of how much you mean to Him. Therefore, step into today with confidence, knowing that you are seen, loved, remembered, and surrounded by God’s unfailing favour. Refuse every thought of abandonment and rejoice in the assurance that your Father has not forgotten you.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your everlasting and unconditional love for me. Thank You for reminding me that I am in Your plans and never forgotten.
